Dunlop Infinity Pro review

The materials

As with most of the rackets that populate the mid-range of the market, here too we find one 100% carbon structure which gives a truly remarkable stiffness and resistance.

There the flat part, on the other hand, is made of fiberglass, a widely used material that does its duty perfectly and perfectly resists stresses in the field.

The interior is made of mega flex EVA rubber, which aims for a decent output power while not sacrificing ball control.

Lastly, the presence of self-balancing gel within the structure, which should automatically shift weight to aid control or power as needed.

This kind of technology we have already seen on the Dunlop Titan, which had not convinced us completely because of this gel.

If things have changed here though, we'll only find out in a few lines.

Shape

The shape of the Dunlop Infinity Pro cannot really be categorized uniquely, as it is more a hybrid between two different styles trying to agree with each other.

The basis is a drop (here the explanation) which brings a good balance, without focusing everything on power or control, thus sacrificing some aspects.

The hybrid, however, adds that extra pinch of pepper, bringing it up slightly in the direction of the diamond and winking at even the most aggressive players.

There surface is oversized, a type that implies having a larger face than other racquets, giving more power but also helping beginners.

It should also be noted that, always the flat part, is completely smooth and it doesn't have any strange textures, but we'll come back to this later.

How it goes on the pitch

If you followed ours Dunlop Titan review, you have surely noticed that we had liked everything but her gel and its bizarre behavior in some situations.

This had made us doubt from the very beginning of our Dunlop Infinity Pro review as we found this type of system here as well.

We are happy to have changed our minds though, because here the problems encountered earlier seem to have been completely fixed.

This racket is noticeably more linear, without ever presenting that annoying factor of randomness that led us very often to miss shots.

Its hybrid shape and oversized head make it very powerful, but never to the point of escaping our control, always giving us that pinch of docility.

Finally we want to point out that the price is now in net balance compared to the initial almost € 300, which makes it very attractive indeed.

The only drawback is that, for a racket that aspired to the high end, the smooth surface clashes a little and we would have preferred the possibility of giving more effect to the ball.
